Department of Assamese

The Assamese Department has been part of the curriculum since the college's inception. It received permission from Gauhati University in 1998-99 and government concurrence on May 4, 2005. From the session 2011-12, the department introduced a Major course in Assamese, which has helped many students graduate with a specialization in the subject.

Programme Offered: BA Semester Programme under Gauhati University, including both Major and General Courses (3 years, 6 semesters).
