Department of Economics

The Economics Department was established as part of the college curriculum from the beginning. It received permission from Gauhati University in 1998-99 and government concurrence on May 4, 2005. In 2011-12, the department started offering a Major in Economics, allowing students to gain deeper knowledge in the field and pursue advanced studies or professional careers.

Programme Offered: BA Semester Programme under Gauhati University, including both Major and General Courses (3 years, 6 semesters).
