Department of English

The English Department has been part of the curriculum since the foundation of the college. It received permission from Gauhati University in 1998-99 and government concurrence on May 4, 2005. Although the department currently offers only a General course in English, it plays a crucial role in enhancing students’ communication and analytical skills, preparing them for a wide range of careers in literature, media, and communication.

Programme Offered: BA Semester Programme under Gauhati University, offering a General Course (3 years, 6 semesters).
