About the Women Cell

The women cell of Bamundi Mahavidyalaya was constituted to enhance understanding of issues related to women. With this aim in sight, the cell organizes various talks and events and involves local community members in such programs.

Girl's education can help reduce crime against women, and an educated woman provides the skills, knowledge, and self-assurance necessary to be a better mother, worker, and citizen. The cell provides a platform for women and girl students to share experiences and suggest ways to empower themselves. Through guest lectures, awareness programs, and welfare activities the cell aims at the academic and social upliftment of female students.

Main Objectives
  • To eliminate gender discrimination, especially in academic life.
  • Empowering women to achieve emotional, physical, and mental freedom.
  • To build up self-respect and quality of life.
